MRN Closure Wilhelmshaven — WHT System (JadeWeserPort)
Wilhelmshaven's JadeWeserPort is Germany's only deep-water container terminal, capable of handling the largest ULCV-class container vessels without tidal restrictions. The port uses the WHT system for export registration and connects to the German ATLAS customs system for MRN closure.
WHT System — How Does It Work?
WHT (Wilhelmshaven Hafentelematik) is the port information system operated by dbh Logistics IT AG for JadeWeserPort, which is operated by Eurogate. WHT is integrated with the German ATLAS customs system. WHT handles export registration, container tracking, and customs data exchange — similar to BHT in Bremerhaven and DAKOSY/ZAPP in Hamburg.
MRN Closure Procedure in Wilhelmshaven
- Export declaration in ATLAS — Ausfuhranmeldung is submitted and the MRN is assigned
- Export registration in WHT — the container and MRN are registered in the WHT system
- Container delivery to JadeWeserPort
- Vessel loading — loading confirmation is transmitted from WHT to ATLAS
- Exit confirmation messages — IE507 and IE590 are generated by ATLAS
- IE518 — results are sent to the Polish customs office of export
- IE599/CC599C — export confirmation is issued by the AES/ECS2 PLUS system
